Dr. Jodi P. Baker

Lakeview Eye Care was established in 2020 by Dr. Jodi Pederson Baker, with the mission of providing comprehensive vision care to the Marshall County community that is rooted in expertise, trust, and better health for all.

Dr. Baker is originally a native of Huntsville, Alabama. She first became interested in vision during her 7th grade science class and turned that curiosity into a passion for eye care after shadowing her family’s optometrist. She went on to graduate from Grissom High School to attend Auburn University. While attending Auburn, Dr. Baker met her husband, Dr. Austin Baker. After graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science, the pair moved to Birmingham where she attended UAB School of Optometry and he attended UAB School of Dentistry. While at UAB, Dr. Baker became a leader in the American Optometric Student Association and has continued to be an active member of the Alabama Optometric Association and American Optometric Association. She was also a member of the Golden Key and Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Societies.

Dr. Baker grew up going to Lake Guntersville with her family and friends, so when Austin met his current business partners at Total Dental Care and was invited to join them, the move made perfect sense.

Outside of the office, you can find Dr. Baker spending time with her family, including her son Harrison, walking on the Sunset Drive walking trail with her three dogs, out on the lake during the warm months, cheering on her Auburn University teams, or in the kitchen cooking up something delicious.
